What the team actually ships

A small team maintains a web product and a family of iOS apps on a shared backend. This is what that means in practice, so you can judge the fit before writing.

SurfaceWhat it is
The web productA Next.js application that turns a prompt or an image into video, self-hosted in Docker behind nginx rather than on a managed platform.
The iOS apps21 published apps in Swift and SwiftUI, each with its own App Store listing. About half call this backend — some to generate media, others for identification or live data — and the rest run entirely on the device and talk to nothing.
The languages46 locales on the website, kept in step by an automated translation pipeline rather than by hand. The apps themselves carry about 33 languages, and their store listings run from 10 to 34 depending on how far each one has been localized.
The infrastructurePostgres, a self-hosted CI runner and a cron fleet, all on servers we administer ourselves.

The work that comes up most

  • Extending the generation API and the model routing behind it, which changes whenever a better model ships.
  • Building product surfaces in the Next.js framework, from the pricing flow to the app microsites.
  • Writing Swift for the iOS apps, including the StoreKit implementation and the App Store submission work around it.
  • Making the automation honest, which is mostly writing gates that fail for the right reason.

See the work before you write

Everything above is public. The apps page lists the whole family, and each one links to its App Store listing, for example AccentAce on the App Store.

Questions people ask before writing to us

Are there open positions at Bonega right now?

No. There is no open role posted today, and this page does not hide one behind a form. We still read every message, because the team is small and the next role usually goes to someone we have already been talking to.

What happens after I send an email?

Write to us from the contact page, saying what you work on and what you want to build. A founder reads it. If there is nothing to offer, you get a short answer saying so rather than silence.

Where is the team based and is the work remote?

Bonega is operated by Clashware, a Swiss company based in Lausanne. Work arrangements are decided per person depending on location and preference, so remote is normal rather than exceptional.

What is the work actually like?

It is a small product team shipping an AI video pipeline: prompt handling, model routing, credits, and the web and iOS surfaces around them. You choose problems more often than you are assigned them, which suits some people and not others.

What are the drawbacks of joining a team this size?

There is no separate design, QA or ops function to hand work to, and priorities can change inside a week. If you want a defined ladder, a large codebase to specialise in, or a stable roadmap, this is the wrong team and we would rather say that here.

What this means for you

If you are looking for a posted vacancy with a defined start date, there is nothing here to apply to today and you should not wait on us. If you build things in AI, video, or developer tooling and you would rather be known to a small team before a role exists, a single message from the contact page is the whole process. We keep those messages and go back to them first when we do open something.
