Savings figures are estimates from cached plan data and may not match a provider's current rates. They are not financial advice. Always verify the rate with the provider before switching.
You stay in control
BillScout does not pay bills, link to your bank, switch providers, or cancel plans for you. You decide which bills to scan and whether to act on any comparison.
Use Of The App
BillScout helps you scan a utility bill and estimate whether a cheaper plan is available. You choose which bills to photograph or import, and you decide whether to act on any savings comparison. Scanning, text extraction, and comparison run on your device against rate-plan data bundled with the app.

BillScout is an informational tool, not a financial advisor, broker, switching service, or bank aggregator. The savings figures it shows are estimates based on the fields parsed from your bill and on cached, bundled rate-plan data; they are not a guarantee of any saving, not a quote, and not personalized financial advice. Plan availability, eligibility, fees, and rates change and vary by region and provider. Always confirm the current terms directly with the provider before you switch. BillScout is not responsible for decisions you make based on a comparison.
Scanning And Parsing Accuracy
BillScout reads bills using on-device optical character recognition and heuristic parsing. It does not warrant that a bill will parse correctly, that every field is captured accurately, or that the result is suitable for any particular purpose. Parsing quality varies with the bill layout, image quality, lighting, language, and your device. When a bill cannot be read reliably, BillScout will tell you rather than guess.
Comparison And Switch Links
Some “compare plans” or provider switch links in the app open public provider pages (for example providers in Texas, the UK, Australia, or France). BillScout does not receive a referral commission from these links in this version. Any switching, sign-up, or service you obtain from a provider is solely between you and that provider.
Subscriptions, Lifetime Unlock, And Auto-Renewal
BillScout offers a weekly Pro subscription at $2.99 and a yearly Pro subscription at $19.99, which unlock utility-bill scanning, manual bill entry, saved bill history, export, reminders, and rate-comparison analysis. BillScout also offers an optional Lifetime one-time unlock for users who do not want a subscription. Subscriptions are billed to your Apple ID via the App Store and auto-renew until you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Current prices and renewal terms are shown by the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

BillScout is provided as-is. Scan accuracy, parsing results, and savings estimates may vary by iOS version, camera, model, bill format, region, and the freshness of bundled rate data. The app makes no guarantee that using it will produce any specific saving or that any compared plan will be available to you.
