Wine Label Facts Privacy Policy

Effective May 17, 2026. Wine Label Facts is an anonymous iOS app for adults 17+ that scans wine labels, QR codes, and barcodes to show source-backed facts.

Data Used By The App

Camera or photo-library images are read on device. Saved Cellar cards can store extracted text, source URLs, barcode values, confidence notes, and scan result fields.
Barcode lookups may contact open product databases such as Open Food Facts. Producer QR or e-label URLs are preserved as source evidence.
An anonymous device identifier and StoreKit transaction information support subscription status and purchase restore. The app does not collect a name, password, or email account.

Retention And Deletion

You can clear saved Cellar cards in the app. Server-side per-device purchase or restore records can be deleted by contacting support.

No Tracking

Wine Label Facts declares no tracking and does not use advertising identifiers, third-party ad tracking, or cross-app tracking.
