With your permission, your question, recent conversation, and selected role, mode, lifecycle phase, pregnancy week or trimester, and focus are sent to the AI provider named in your permission (Anthropic in current versions of the app, OpenAI in earlier versions). This context supports pregnancy, breastfeeding, trying-to-conceive, newborn, or loss-support questions. Names, exact dates, and diary entries are not automatically added; anything you type can still be sent. Answers can include links to trusted public-health sources.

Optionally link one partner device. You choose which categories to share; all sharing categories are off by default. A shared check-in tag and lifecycle phase can go to Anthropic to generate a partner care tip, or to OpenAI if check-in sharing was turned on in an earlier version of the app and has not been turned off and on again since. Household membership and category permissions are separate from Ask permission. One Pro purchase can cover the linked two-person household.
No account or sign-in is required. Profile, scans, and diary are stored locally, with selected context sent for Ask only after your permission and selected categories shared through an optional partner link. Withdraw AI permission in Settings to cancel pending questions and prevent new Ask requests; it cannot undo information already sent. Partner sharing can be revoked, unlinked, or deleted separately.
Core scanning, verdicts, reasons, and cited sources are free with no daily cap. BumpWise Pro increases the daily Ask allowance and adds breastfeeding and trying-to-conceive modes, detailed week tracking, and the diary, history, favorites, and library. Free Ask allowances reset at UTC midnight. For Pro, the allowance is tracked in rolling 24-hour windows per device and Pro purchase transaction. Safety, network, and service limits also apply. Monthly is $4.99 with a 3-day free trial for eligible Apple IDs; payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription auto-renews until cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
