Photoreal cosplay from a selfie

CosplayForge Privacy Policy

Effective May 24, 2026. CosplayForge is an anonymous iOS app that turns one user-selected selfie into a photoreal, original-archetype cosplay look. It does not create a Bonega account and does not collect an email or password inside the app. It is intended for ages 16 and up.

Data Used By The App

  • The selected selfie is uploaded only when you choose to forge a cosplay look, and only after you grant in-app AI data-sharing consent.
  • The selected selfie may contain a face. It is used only as visual reference so the generated cosplay look preserves your likeness for the look or variant you request.
  • An anonymous device identifier and StoreKit transaction data are used for purchase restore and entitlement checks.
  • Generated cosplay looks may be stored so the in-app Cosplay Closet can show your previous looks.

Face Data And Selfie Processing

  • CosplayForge does not use Apple Vision, ARKit face mesh, TrueDepth, Face ID, faceprints, biometric templates, face geometry, face landmarks, or face-recognition identifiers.
  • CosplayForge does not identify a person, verify identity, authenticate users, compare faces across users, or build a facial-recognition profile.
  • The only face-related input is the ordinary selfie the user explicitly selects. With your consent, that image is sent to third-party AI image-edit providers — primarily ByteDance (Seedream 4.5), with Black Forest Labs (FLUX.1 Kontext Pro), Google (Gemini Nano Banana), and OpenAI (GPT Image 2) as fallbacks, all via fal.ai — to generate the requested cosplay look while preserving your likeness.
  • AI data-sharing consent is requested before the first selfie ever leaves the device, and is revocable at any time from a toggle in Profile.
  • We do not sell face-related information and do not use the selected selfie or generated looks for advertising tracking.

Retention And Deletion

The selected source selfie is a temporary reference file and is deleted by our upload-cleanup process after generation or, if orphaned, within 10 hours. Generated cosplay looks are retained for up to 90 days so the in-app Cosplay Closet can display previous looks, unless deletion is requested earlier.

No Tracking

CosplayForge does not use advertising identifiers, third-party ad tracking, or cross-app tracking for the iOS app.
